Visitor Information
Visiting Guidelines
We want our patients to feel as comfortable as possible during their stay at Saint Francis Hospital. That's why we leave it to each individual patient to decide what visiting hours work best for them. In determining your visiting hours, however, please be respectful of the comfort of other patients and their families.
If the patient you are visiting is in a critical care area including the Intensive Care Unit, Neurological Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or the Eastern Oklahoma Perinatal Center, please call the information desk at (918) 494-1115 or check with the patient’s family or the nurses in that area for visiting hour times.
Waiting Areas
There are waiting areas conveniently located on each floor of the hospital. A surgery waiting area, located on the first floor, provides an area where family and close friends can wait to speak with your surgeon after your operation. Each weekday this area is attended by a volunteer who will keep your family informed of your progress.
Surgery Family Waiting Room
At the time of surgery, two family members may accompany you to the surgery entrance. During surgery, family or friends may wait in the Surgery Family Waiting Room on the first floor near the main lobby of the west wing. A volunteer will keep them informed of your progress. A Patient/Family representative is also here to offer assistance.
After surgery, the surgeon will call the Surgery Family Waiting Room to report your condition directly to a family member. Hospital personnel will tell the volunteer when you have been taken to your room.
